a gun. that suspect is now facing 2 charges of attempted murder. thanks for being with us tonight on kron. 4 news at 11, i'm grant lotus. new court documents claim kevin brady onus showed up to a south san jose hotel last week with a gun to see a woman used to be with. that's when the woman called the cops and kron four's jack moment reports. >> yeah. if he does for every day in 30 in the night. >> and then the hard some of objects seal says he and his wife are watching tv at the extended stay. america and seemingly right outside their door. >> and then suddenly hard, some loud noise like the middle noise. i i didn't gunshots people inside and had no idea what did so late. so my dog started barking that's where i that something really because he's going on. seal said he thought about calling the cops, but he soon realized what was happening. yeah,

really hard it goes going to get to see that a shootout. 2 officers shot oae of them with just a year of experience on the force. the suspect to kevin angelo briones reportedly shot several times. we don't us is charged with 2 counts of attempted murder on the police officers. the police report says the woman briones reportedly showed up for is a domestic violence survivor. >> and says her during this had a previous relationship, 3 young kids were at the hotel with the woman at the time of the shooting. what we had was an armed, dangerous felon showing up in the middle of the night. police say officers stopped briones from possibly hurting the woman and the kids nights events offer a stark reminder. >> of the solemn oath they take to protect and serve our city this is a felony, which means if he's convicted, these charges could put him in prison for life. yeah, it is. i think pretty bad for provision. but the city and for seal, he says he and his wife now are worried that staying at the hotel was not a good. >> to hear that it's going to happen. get will be on us was supposed to have his first

operations in the city of rafah. this started hours after hamas announced it had accepted a cease-fire proposal to halt the war with israel. israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu's office said the proposal which is not good enough. and he did say israel, though, would send negotiators to continue talks on a ceasefire agreement. but so far, no deal even though hamas is onboard. kron four's rob nesbitt reports on local reaction to the proposed deal. >> since israel wage war against the terrorist group hamas. 7 months ago, we've seen the impacts of protests from college campuses to the golden gate bridge. samara, robbie, with the arab resource and organizing center has taken part in demonstrations, calling for a cease-fire and was relieved to hear the update monday that hamas accepted an egyptian qatari proposal for a cease-fire. >> a little bit of hope and some relief, right? the idea that maybe all of this carnage. a tense up can finally end after months and tens of thousands of people

saturday. but we have cleared things out and we're going to warm it up as the week progresses. chief meteorologist lawrence karnow is here with a look at what tomorrow morning hopes. yeah, we are going to see chilly temperatures start out the day tomorrow morning, but then we're off and running with some very nice weather. >> high pressure building in the temperatures are going to soar. yeah, we're talking about almost some summer-like temperatures coming our way right now. we do have a couple patches of fog kind of flirting with the coastline right now. i think most of that is going to go away as we head through the day tomorrow. temperatures today started to warm up quite a bit a little bit below the average. still mainly in the 60's across the board. i think by tomorrow afternoon, some of these temperatures actually be headed above normal, as we've got a whole change in the weather pattern right now. we've got that onshore breeze blowing. but that will soon change to more of a northerly wind overnight tonight. that's going help to clear out the low clouds fog were just waiting for this one last week system. you can see the clouds rolling on through. that's a weak cold front that's going to slide to the east of us as does high pressure builds in behind it. then that's going

to set the stage for what looks like some beautiful weather ahead. maybe even a little bit on the hot side as we round out your week tomorrow. yet that's going to be warm and spots inland, breezy along the coastline. much warmer weather on the way. we'll talk more about that coming up the few minutes. sounds good. thank you, lawrence. a san leandro emergency dispatcher has died after her car was hit. >> by an alleged drunk driver. investigators say it happened last night on 14th street at 150 f. the driver has been arrested. the victim is antoinette fino. she died in the hospital after investigators say her car was hit from the side and flipped over. investigators say she died a senseless and tragic death at the hands of a drunk driver while she was just headed to work. they say she loved her job and took pride in helping other people. new at 11 police in oakley are seeing more car crimes. take a look as and that breaks the side window of a kia oakley. police say the suspect right

away before they showed up. this is video from last night. so far. 42 stolen cars have been reported to the oakley police department this year. last year they had 147 stolen cars reported. san francisco's tenderloin is far from 10th free. but temperatures go. officials say the number of tents is decreasing. city leaders say the number of tents and structures has dropped from 609 last year to 361 in april of this year. the mayor says encampment outreach teams have going out more than 200 times and reached out to more than 1500 people. the city says 30% of the time the offer of shelter was accepted. 60 1% of the time people refused. it and 10% of the time people already had a place to live, which the mayor says indicates this is not just about homelessness. this is about the issues we're dealing with related to. >> offutt and all related to

mental health challenges and the fact that we have more tools and more capacity to combat this issue has really been transformative. >> while encouraged by the numbers may or breathe air knows there is still work to be done for sure. and bay restaurant is still shut down after a surprise inspection found rats inside the mcdonald's on jackson street in oakland was shut down friday. an inspector filled out of health reported today. kron 4 was given access to what they found and it's not good. the inspectors said there were rodent droppings by the water heater, rat traps and a dead rat was found in one of those traps near the soda syrup boxes. workers say they were told to clean up after the rats. but a union rep says that's not safe for them. >> so they don't have at u.s. for to do it. they are not to do to faces in you from is

yeah, we've got a couple patches of fog forming along the coast. i'm not going to be much the winds overnight tonight to more of a northerly direction. i think that will tome back the fog coverage and that means we're off and running with some sunshine throughout the day tomorrow. so winds will be kind of an issue, especially in county wind advisory going up. they're 11 o'clock on tuesday night. expect some strong winds are right on through thursday about probably wednesday is going to be the most gusty and those winds. maybe 35 to 45 miles per hour. so if you're traveling the sacramento valley or maybe expecting somebody back, be careful, especially for driving a high-profile vehicle right now. just a general breeze's outside right now, nothing too bad. but those winds are going to start ramping up. once this front moves by. that is just beginning to slide in northern california. high pressure going to build in on the backside of that. all of a sudden those winds really get cranked up. see right here overnight tonight, a little more normally. but the winds that starts to sweep away low clouds and fog and then we're off recover with what looks like a beautiful day around the bay area. we're going go from below average to publish them above average temperatures even by tomorrow

mid 60's comfortable into san francisco. 65 in the marina. a 62 in daly city. 57 in half moon bay inside the bay of find warmer temperatures, of course, and starting to see some 60's and 70's popping up in spots. lots of 70's in the south bay by tomorrow afternoon. as high as 75 in sunnyvale. 72 cupertino about 74 in saratoga, east bay numbers pop in the mid 60's in livermore about 73 in pleasanton about 70 in hayward and 70 in fremont. so really some nice weather breaking out tomorrow. very comfortable weather as we head toward the afternoon. but along the coastline, though, cooler out there, you see that sea breeze next couple days, those temperatures really start to warm up back back in the 80's as we head toward midweek, maybe even some low 90's by friday into saturday. so yeah, last weekend we're topping out in the 50's next weekend. could see some 90's that stress to going to feel like summer. big change coming our way. alright, lot of people probably happy about it. yeah, i'm sure. thanks, >> is asian american pacific islander heritage month and this weekend a korean american
